- PROMOTION DESCRIPTION. The IKEA Seattle Mobile — $500 IKEA Gift Card Monthly Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01:00 AM (PT) on 10/12/09 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (PT) on 8/31/10 (“Promotion Period”). There will be a total of eleven (11) Grand Prize winners in the Sweepstakes to be determined by random drawing from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined at the conclusion of each month of the Sweepstakes. Entrants may submit a maximum of one (1) entry as follows: one (1) entry via text message entry; or one (1) entry via internet entry. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules and the decisions of IKEA Seattle, 601 SW 41st St., Renton, WA 98057 ("Sponsor"), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
- ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the state of Washington who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of IKEA Seattle, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, "Promotion Entities") and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
- HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES. There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:
a) TEXT MESSAGE ENTRY: : Submit a Short Message Service (“SMS”) via text message with the word “WINNER” to 62345 (the "Short Code") from your cellular phone. You may receive several text messages in response, including a message confirming your entry, legal disclaimers and options to receive future promotional messages from any of the Promotion Entities. Carrier-specific charges for text messages may apply, depending on your individual cellular pricing plan, in accordance with your cellular customer agreement. SMS may not be available for all service providers or for all handsets. Cellular phone carrier’s instructions for text messaging may be different. Check your phone capabilities for specific instructions. The text message entry portion of this Sweepstakes works with most U.S. cellular carriers and requires a two-way text messaging enabled cellular phone. Sponsor makes no guarantee that any particular wireless service provider will participate. Check with your service provider for details. By texting the code, the entrant grants permission to the Sponsor to notify them via a return text message and must agree to accept all applicable charges associated therewith. Wireless service providers may charge entrants for each text message, including any error message, that is sent and received in connection with the Sweepstakes, based on the applicable wireless service pricing plan. You are responsible for all applicable fees and taxes associated with placing an SMS Entry. Sponsor in its sole discretion may add or delete a cellular carrier at any time, without notice. Proof of text messaging the Short Code is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt by Sponsor of such entry.
b) INTERNET (for non-Mobile entrants): Enter by going online to http://info.ikea-usa.com/mobile/seattle ("Website") during the Promotion Period and complete the online entry registration. Then, click “submit’ to complete your registration to enter the Sweepstakes. If you have an existing account, simply log in to your account from the page specified above and you will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. A user log in originating from a different log-in page will not result in a Sweepstakes entry.

No automated entry devices, bots and/or other programs and/or software are permitted for Sweepstakes entry. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human or electronic. Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
Limit one (1) Sweepstakes entry per person for the Promotion Period ("Maximum Number" — see section #1 for limits per method of entry). Sponsor is not responsible for any change of mailing address, email address, and/or telephone number of entrants. In the event of a dispute, any SMS entries and/or Internet entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the wireless phone used to enter (SMS entry) or the authorized account holder of the email address (Internet entry) submitted at the time of entry, provided that person meets all eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to a wireless phone number or email address by a wireless service provider, Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning cellular phone numbers or e-mail addresses for the cellular phone numbers or domain associated with the submitted accounts. Entrants may not enter more than the Maximum Number with multiple cellular phone numbers or e-mail addresses. Any entrant who attempts to enter more than the Maximum Number using multiple cellular phone numbers or e-mail addresses or under multiple identities will be disqualified from participation in the Sweepstakes and all entries from that individual will be considered void.
- WINNER SELECTION: Winner will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted on or about the dates listed in the table below, from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined by Sponsor or its designee, the judges in this Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding. Winner will be notified by phone, mail and/or email at Sponsor’s discretion.

- PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV)/ODDS: Eleven (11) Grand Prizes (one prize per monthly entry period) — $500 worth of IKEA gift cards (ARV $5,500). Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions associated with their use. Odds of winning depend on total number of eligible entries received from all methods combined for the monthly entry period. Unclaimed prize will not be awarded. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Limit one (1) prize per person.
- GENERAL: Potential Grand Prize winner must execute and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release within ten (10) days after the first notification attempt. If prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, prize may be forfeited. Non-compliance with Official Rules may result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate winner may be selected. If prize notification or prize delivery is returned as non-deliverable, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. No cash equivalents, substitutions or transfer of prize is permitted except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize element of equal or greater value in the event that any offered prize is unavailable. Acceptance of a prize shall be construed as and signify the winner's agreement and consent that Sponsor may use the winner's name, voice, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further consideration, review, approval or payment, unless prohibited by law. By participating, entrants and winner release and agree to hold harmless Promotion Entities, its parent company, affiliates, directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitation, their advertising/promotional agencies from any and all liability, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury or death, arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize and/or with respect to participation in any prize related activity. Winner acknowledges that neither Sponsor nor its agents have made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on a prize, if any, are subject to the manufacturers’ terms therefore and winner agrees to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing, offering, announcement or administration of the Sweepstakes. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
Any attempted form of entry into the Sweepstakes, other than the entry methods stated, is prohibited. No automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. Sponsor, its affiliates, partners and promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, software, electronic, network, telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, errors in transmission, lost or unavailable network connections, telephone connections, wireless phone connections, web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture or entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed transmissions which may limit or restrict an entrant’s ability to enter the Sweepstakes, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s phone/computer, or other matter relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. If for any reason the SMS and/or Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the SMS and/or Internet portion(s) of the Sweepstakes and select the winner by random drawing from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined up to the point of the action taken by the Sponsor. Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
