Official Rules

To Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Between 2:00PM EDT on May 27, 2008 and 11:59PM EDT on June 10, 2008 enter The “IKEA ‘I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do’ Want to Get Married at the Mama Mia! Wedding Event” Contest by telling us in 250 words or less, why you and your partner want to be one of twenty (20) couples to get married/renew your vows or participate in a commitment ceremony at IKEA Burbank on July 17, 2008 at 11AM at the “IKEA”Mama Mia!” Wedding event at 600 N. San Fernando Blvd., Burbank, CA. 91502. . Entrants must visit www.ikea-usa.com/weddingcouples and complete the entry form in its entirety. The selected twenty (20) couples must obtain a valid California marriage license, if applicable and will be married at the IKEA Burbank store by a licensed officiator.

All entrants must be 18 years or older. Participants must be willing to participate in a number of activities including speaking with the media. The Event shall occur rain or shine.

Entrants will be chosen at IKEA’s sole and absolute discretion. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

Prize: Up to twenty (20) couples will be selected to participate in the “IKEA ‘I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do’ Want to Get Married at the Mama Mia! Wedding Event” will be legally married or, by their choice, participate in a renewal or commitment ceremony. Each couple will receive:

A $500.00 IKEA Gift Card.
A Wedding reception for the winning couples and up to sixteen (16) of their guests following the ceremony taking place at the IKEA Burbank store location
A private advance screening of “Mama Mia! The Movie” including transportation to Universal Citywalk for each couple and their guests
Additional product gifts from IKEA
A framed ceremony photograph of each couple
Invitations sent by IKEA for up to sixteen (16) guests per couple

Total approximate retail value of prize per couple is $4,850.00. The prizes that will be awarded are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash.

The winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize and for delivery and assembly of the IKEA merchandise, where required. One prize per participating couple.

Selection of Entrants: Up to twenty (20) couples submitting eligible entries through www.ikea-usa.com/weddingcouples from May 27, 2008 through June 10, 2008 will be randomly selected by IKEA Management to participate in the Event and will receive prizes as described. IKEA Management shall make the selection of such participants in their sole discretion based on originality and creativity of entrants’ essays. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entrants. All decisions by IKEA are final. IKEA will require the participants to review and sign Event rules, an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and W-9 form, prior to the start of the Event. If such documents are not returned within the time period requested, or if an entrant is found ineligible or if they do not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant may be selected.

Eligibility: Entrants must be legal residents of the U.S. age 18 or older. Couples and their guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Wedding event. Couples who choose a legal marriage must obtain a valid marriage license from the State of California prior to the event and must bring the license to the event. If IKEA determines at their sole discretion that any of the participants are ineligible they may be disqualified from the event. If any couples do not have a valid California marriage license, they may be ineligible to participate in the civil ceremony, but may participate in a renewal or commitment ceremony. In addition, each of the participants may be asked to show a valid photo-ID proving legal residence and age. Failure to show adequate proof of age and residence may result in disqualification. Employees of IKEA and its affiliates and each of its advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate families and any persons with whom they reside are not eligible.

Release, Limitations on Liability: Before entering the Event, each of the participants must sign a waiver and release form consenting to the use of his/her name, voice, photograph (stills, motion picture, or video tape) in print, broadcast, internet and other media for advertising, promotional and/or marketing purposes without additional compensation and further agree in writing to hold harmless IKEA and/or its affiliates, agents or assigns, and their officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, affiliates, successors and assigns, against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly out of the Event or the prizes awarded.

IKEA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Event if it is not capable of running it as planned, including for any causes beyond the control of IKEA which affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Event. This Event is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

IKEA is not responsible for damaged or lost vehicles or personal belongings on or in IKEA property during the Event.
